This website is operated by the Institute of Information Management (IIM). Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the Institute of Information Management (IIM), which offers this website-including all information, tools, and services available from this site-to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated herein.

By visiting our site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink.

INSTITUTIONAL IDENTITY

The Institute of Information Management (IIM) is an international professional body and the premier global membership institute for Data and Information Management professionals. Its International Headquarters is located in Denver, Colorado, USA, with registered chapters in the United Kingdom, Canada, South Africa, Australia, the Netherlands, Ghana, Nigeria, and India.

IIM is a registered Nonprofit Corporation in the State of Colorado, USA (Entity ID: 20181786160), and operates legally in each of its host countries as a duly recognized professional body – including Nigeria (RC 1125723), South Africa (2018/555410/08), Ghana (CG114192019), the United Kingdom (Company No: 14081639), Canada (Corporation No: 1430969-3), and Australia (ABN: 49117134604).

In Nigeria, the Institute is recognized under the National Assembly Gazette (HB.1016 C4065–4073), accredited by the Federal Ministry of Education (Ref: FME/TED/A&E/ANPB/XLIII/406), and licensed by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC) pursuant to Section 5(f) and (h) of the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 to conduct examinations and certify aspiring data professionals.

IIM is dedicated to advancing best practices and professional standards in Ai, Data, Information, Records, Document, Knowledge, Content, and Archives Management, supporting professionals responsible for managing the information lifecycle across diverse sectors, including health, education, governance, finance, and other data-driven industries.

With a clear mandate to promote excellence, certification, and capacity development, the Institute provides members and partners with objective insights, training, and guidance on professional growth, compliance, and technology-driven transformation – helping organizations move “From Information to Value.”

Our store is hosted on https://iim.ng, which provides the online platform that allows us to offer membership, certification, training and other humanitarian services.


SECTION 1 – ONLINE STORE TERMS

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction or that you have obtained consent to allow your minor dependents to use this site.

You may not use our products or services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, nor may you violate any laws in your jurisdiction (including but not limited to copyright laws).

Transmission of worms, viruses, or malicious code is strictly prohibited. Any breach will result in immediate termination of access or services.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

You understand that your content (excluding credit card data) may be transmitted unencrypted and adapted for technical compatibility. Credit card information is always encrypted during transmission.

Prices for our programs or services are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service.

We shall not be liable for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance.

All product descriptions, pricing, and availability are subject to change at our discretion.

SECTION 10 – ERRORS, INACCURACIES, AND OMISSIONS

Occasionally, information may contain typographical errors or inaccuracies. We reserve the right to correct such errors and to cancel or amend affected orders.


SECTION 11 – PROHIBITED USES

You are prohibited from using the site or its content:
(a) for unlawful purposes;
(b) to infringe on intellectual property rights;
(c) to upload malicious code;
(d) to misrepresent information; or
(e) to harass, defame, or discriminate.

Violations may result in immediate termination of services.

SECTION 13 – INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Institute of Information Management (IIM), its officers, affiliates, agents, and employees from any claim, demand, or expense arising from your breach of these Terms or violation of applicable laws.


SECTION 14 – SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.


SECTION 15 – TERMINATION

Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, you remain liable for any outstanding obligations up to the termination date.


SECTION 16 – PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT AND COMPLIANCE

All users, members, students, and certified professionals must adhere to the IIM Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics. Violations, including data misuse or misconduct, may result in disciplinary action, suspension, or revocation of certification or membership.


SECTION 17 – ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms and any related policies represent the entire agreement between you and IIM and supersede all prior communications.


SECTION 18 – GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and where applicable, the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in those jurisdictions.
